Musée Magritte Museum

Since June 2009, Brussels gave to the surrealist artist a place dedicated to its work and its life, intended to have it as a world reference.
In this museum, more than 200 pieces are exposed on three floors, right in Brussels towncenter.
I knew René Magritte by name and had in mind a few paintings of him before entering the museum. In fact that prolific artist born at the end of the 19th century started as designer of advertising and wallpaper. Quickly he found in the love of his life his wife and Muse; Georgette.
His main work I will keep in mind is about the treachery of images. A paint of a pipe called This is not a pipe. Indeed you can't smoke it's just a representation!
Good place, well documented with a lot of paints (even if some are framed so awfully you wonder why they have not changed yet) and count around 3 hours to make the full tour of the place.
By the way, there is also in Brussels a small museum where Magritte and his wife lived but haven't been there I will not discuss about it.
