Pull-Ups: finding it so hard...

The weather isn't good enough for outdoor training, so I tried to improve my skills doing more pull ups (and to overtake David)... Why it is so hard? I managed so far to do 7 repetitions(this morning), my aim being 10 for the end of the week.
I looked up some sites on the internet and I found really mad guy, able to do clapping pull ups... If you want to see these crazy guys, go there. I tried, and I almost managed to break my teeth!
Anyway, only exercising can help to reach, and some mental strenght, for sure.

I failed, let's say I did 8.75 repetitions!
